I never outgrew the ‘I want a pony’ phase. To this day, my obsession with horses continues in my art. I learned horsemanship from an early age, helping at my local pony club in exchange for free rides. My extensive time spent with horses honed my complex understating of their movement and character, and led to the formation of lifelong bonds consisting of mutual respect and understanding.

With the ability to form such bonds, I was often given 'problem' horses to train. I worked empathetically at their pace, helping them overcome fear and grow trust. Horses became therapy, teaching me patience and mindfulness.
